Special Event!  

The Buffalo Rock Picnic

Ottawa Recreation will feature the Buffalo Rock Picnic on Wednesday 7/8.   There will be supervised trail walks, games, and activities.  Be sure to wear good walking shoes! The bus will leave Rigden Park at 10:00 a.m. and return at 2:00 p.m.  Picnickers should bring their own lunches; pops and treats will be provided.  The whole family is welcome to join us!  Come have fun!  Print out a permission slip from the lower right side of this page or  get one from the Rec Office or from park supervisors.  No supervisors will be at the parks that day.

 

Summer 2009 Brochures are available at City Hall and the Ottawa YMCA.  Mail in registration is currently under way.   

As of June 15, the following camp sessions are closed:  

  • Art Camp 
  • Tae Kwon Do
  • Sewing session 1
  • Gymnastics sessions 1,2, and 3

Ottawa Playgrounds & Recreation

Ottawa Recreation offers programs throughout the year, but especially in the summer, to provide recreational opportunities for the citizens of Ottawa. The Recreation Board members are committed to providing quality recreational opportunities with the lowest possible fee to the greatest number of people.

 The Playground and Recreation Board meets at 7 p.m. in the basement of Ottawa City Hall on the second Thursday of every month.

Pom Camp will now be held one week earlier then scheduled.  Dates are June 29- July 3 from 9-10:30 at Shepherd Gym.


Any questions regarding softball schedules should be directed to Scott Lawry or Tim Bault at the adult softball fields after 6 P.M.
